Black widows are one for sure. Those suckers are in every state in the union. The way people quickly travel in today's world a spider could easy stow away in a box and go from one side of the country to another in just a few days, so don't rule out the Brown Recluse either.

I go to sleep at around eleven thirty twelve, and I have to get up at five. Last night I slept on a little mattress on the floor. I was fully clothed and had a pretty heavy blanket on. This morning I woke up and had to itch down there real badly. Now there is a small red bump. I don't think there are many poisonous spiders around here. I mean how would a spider get through the blanket, on the bed, and inside my underwear, just to bite me! I mean it could have been maybe my arm, but why there! So I read that a spider bite can cause skin to rot. Maybe I should just put some Benedryl on it and keep an eye on it?

Three months ago, our cat started peeing and pooping on my mother's clothes in the basket in the laundry room. We haven't done any major traveling recently, or changed his litter/food. Why am I more awake with less sleep?

When I get only 3-5 hours of sleep I tend to be more awake and function better over all because of it. When I get the recommended amount of sleep I am extremely groggy and can never focus entirely. The only other amount of sleep that produces an awake, alert feeling is if I sleep for literally half the day, and that only happens on days when I don't have to wake up and just sleep until I can't physically sleep anymore, I normally get 12-16 hours then. Natural remedies to help me fall asleep?

I don't know if this will help, but I'm 19, 5'3, and about 105 lbs. I don't drink anything with caffeine or high amounts of sugar at least 4 hours before I plan to go to bed. It takes me about an hour and a half every night to fall asleep, no matter what time I woke up, if I napped, or what time I went to bed the night before. And I ALWAYS wake up groggy. It's really starting to get on my nerves. These are all of the things I've tried, warm milk, melatonin tablets, valerian root, nyquil, counting sheep, benadryl,soothing sounds, tylenol pm, my own music, self hypnosis, and I've even tried this thing where I count how many breaths I take. But nothing seems to work. And I don't have insurance at th moment so I can't see a doctor just yet. But when I get my insurance I'm going to. I just need something to help me in the mean time.

Help on modification of a bandpass subwoofer box !?

I bought this 12" bandpass box that was supposedly really nice and it is but there is one problem. The lip that holds the plexiglass cover on is partially blocking the way for my subwoofer to get in the box. I messsed up already I bought a 12" kicker CVX and there was no way it fit in my box, with the lip the opening for my sub to get in is a sliver under 11" and the cvx's basket was too big to tilt it in. But to get to the point my question is is there an easy way i could saw the lip for the plexiglass off get my sub in there and once my sub is in there screw the lip back on and seal it with some sealer or apoxy or something ? or will that ruin the box'x sound because its a bandpass it needs that to be sealed, but i dont know anything about making or modifying box's so somebody please help !!!???

Can you mix Tramadol with Robaxin?

Just wondering, because I was prescribed Tramadol for my broken hand that the doctor botched up which it's now been broken for 5 months, hasn't healed at all because of the way they put the casts on, so I just don't wear a cast anymore. But back on to the question.. I was prescribed Tramadol for my hand and ankle, had surgery on it a while back. And I've just been prescribed Robaxin (muscle relaxer) for my back and neck, I have a herniated disc in my neck and two bulging discs in my back. Please no sarcastic comments, and I've already read the page on Tramadol at drugs.com so I know it says it's not good to mix it.. but regardless, just wondering if it's safe considering Tramadol doesn't contain Acetaminophen and is simply a synthetic-opiate. I imagine it'll have me feeling groggy.. as tramadol usually does unless I eat something first, but that I don't really care about, just need to know if it's safe or not to mix the two for pain.

Talk to your doctor. Maybe it is a side-effect maybe it is a symptom of the disease and he can add or change you med to one that gives more energy. Make sure you aren't sleeping too much, try to get some exercise and make sure you are eating right.

Dog really hyper 1 day after neuter, I cant exercise him?

When he doesn't get exercise he is very vocal, hyper, and just a complete pain...he is still obedient but just kind of drives you nuts being around him. My cat may have ingested tea tree oil?

I have a small container of 100% pure tea tree oil. I use it on cuts I find it heals them quickly. I was applying it and the lid was off, my cat jumped up onto the counter knocking the bottle over. If you're looking for a romance manga with a unique story line, I highly recommend Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun. It's cute without being overly romantic and the artwork is different from the typical shoujo mangas, which I think is pretty well done.

I saw the mom and she was a dark brown color and had stripes on her legs but I looked hard and I didn't see an hour glass. When she's curled up, she is as small as my pinky nail. Why do I get a headache after I jog?

Yes, I'm a bit overweight, so I run outside in the morning when it's not yet so hot. I feel fine while I'm jogging: it takes me about 30 to run a little less than two miles, so I don't think I'm going very fast. I feel like a zombie during the day. does anyone have any suggestions to something that will work and not make me groggy or feel loopy? I've tried everything from lavender, meditation, sleep aids, even massages from my husband. I'm so tired of being tired all day! I'm drained

My room is really messed up, Is it bad feng shui?

My bed is right beside a window and it has a small window behind it. I have alot of nightmares and I trip out alot ( only in my bedroom though) my closet is at the bottom of my bed and my door is beside it. Need help identifying a fruiting tree similar to blackberries to rule out if poisonous?

My parents have a fruiting tree that sprouted to quite a large tree out of nowhere. It's bearing fruits right now that are similar to blackberries, actually almost exactly like blackberries. Had I not noticed it was on a tree instead of a bush we might have accidentally confused the two as they are both in season right now in PA. After examining the tree, it was tall. Close to 20 feet. Its branches were long and spindly hanging down as it was bearing lots of fruit. There seemed to be no "prickers" or thorns on the trunk or branches. The branches almost seemed to intertwine/wind around neighboring trees. When searching images myself online it seemed to be either a boysenberry or mulberry tree. It looks more like a mulberry in my opinion because it is thorn-less. I'm intrigued being a wine-maker and jelly maker to see if these are edible. Are there any fruiting trees that bear fruits that resemble blackberries that are poisonous in case it is neither a mulberry or boysenberry tree? Without further knowledge it's not a risk I would want to take unless I knew for sure. Thanks in advance!

about two weeks ago i found an abandoned baby birds nest on my porch... Two babies fell out.leaving the biggest in the nest. She was starving so of course i have been feeding her. I have managed to keep her alive through prayer and soaked dog food in water with a pinch of sugaar and actually squeezing the water out of the food.. She has been doing good, she has now got her feathers. This morning when i went to feed her i noticed little black moving specs around her neck, she has really bad bird mites. I called local hospitals for animals and they told me of this ring thing to put in her nest, but i cannot find them and the one i found can cause cancer and is highly poisonous. Can someone out there tell me what to do for this baby bird. Her name is miracle. should i bathe her and put her in a homemade nest or what? And she has not ate today nor will she move around like usual... Please help!

This is getting so old. My Sons father can't get over this girl and it's a poisonous relationship. When he first got joint custody my son was 9 months and he had lived with this girl for a year. When my son was about 1 1/2 she kicked them out. changing the locks and throwing everything on the front lawn that wasn't useful to her. She kept his washer and dryers his t.v.s couch bed..... He had to go rent a room. He rented that room for another year and moved back in with her. They were only there for 3 months. When is a head injury serious enough to see a doctor?

I was bending down last night to feed the cat in a new house and I hit my head on a hockey table on one of the steel things that sticks out. I put ice on it for twenty minutes and took advil. I slept for at least 10 hours. Now I have a very large and noticeable bump over my right eyebrow. I feel groggy but managed to drive just fine. Slept really long - major headache?

I don't want to scare you, but that sounds potentially dangerous to me. I would talk to a doctor or even go to the emergency room. Another possibility is did you just stop a major caffeine habit or maybe miss a day or two before you slept so long? Headaches are a known withdrawal symptom, and sometimes if you've been living on caffeine and therefore not getting very good sleep for a long period of time (since your body is still stimulated while you're sleeping), when you stop, your body just zonks out (and you could get a headache during that time). Another idea is to consider meds/alcohol consumption -- anything different or more than usual for you? If neither of those ideas check out, I would really talk to a doctor, because it could be neurological (like aneurism, mini-stroke, etc) 'Course it could be that you're just coming down with a bad flu too. Need a good rom/com anime?

I would DEFINITELY definitely recommend School Rumble. The romance and comedy balance in School Rumble is absolutely amazing. Read the manga for the third season after watching it however, to grasp a better understanding of the plot and characters. The third season had to be cut short due to budget. Also definitely finish up Clannad because it definitely focuses on romance, comedy, and slice of life. I also would recommend Lucky Star, Kanon, Code Geass, Minami-ke, Ōkami-san, Amagami SS, etc. Also, NEVER read the plot synposis of an anime series on wikipedia BEFORE watching the anime because it will spoil the whole plot. I'm not going to the doctor yet, because I don't thin it's totally necessary yet, and is just a virus. I wouldn't suggest coffee or red bulls because they only give you a short term jolt and the crash is much worse when you are tired. You need to get rest or you are going to get sick. The body can only go so long without the regenerative affects of sleep.

Dogs paw is swollen and pinky puss coming out?

So, yesterday my dog was outside [shes a jack russell]. She's allowed to run around the yard because we have a huge yard. Sometimes she goes in the woods. We live in Georgia so there's a lot of snakes, spiders, and scorpions. Well anyways, my mom found her outside with her paw lifted in the air. We brought her in, and within 10 minutes it was swollen to triple the size it normally is. We took to flash light to look closer and there was pink puss dripping out. Then later that night it was bleeding. We cleaned it with salt water, and then antibacterial soap and water. Its still pretty swollen now too, do you think this was a bite? 1 month ago I had a Urinary Tract infection! is it still lingering?

One month ago i got a urinary tract infection for the first time and it came on very quickly. It was so painful when i peed and i also had blood. I went to the doctor and he gave me a 3 day course.. It cleared within 24hrs from drinking loads of water but ever since my lower abdominal has never felt right/the same. I went back and he gave me a 7 day course antibiotic but i never purchased it. Ive since been back last week and he said well its probably the urinary tract infection.. Its really uncomfortable now and its making me feel really groggy.. Do you think its the infection lingering? Does anyone have any similar experiences. I was also paranoid and went for a sti check up and all was clear..... tell me this is nromal!!! :(

One of my rabbits has GI Stasis?

I had a problem with one of my rabbits last year, she was acting strange not moving and not eating drinking. I took her to the vets straight away and she was given two injections and we took the paste home to give her, She picked up really fast and was looking back to her normal self within a few hours. If your rabbit is drinking and he has had the jabs and is eating the paste he should be fine. These things happen with rabbits and spotting it early is the key thing. When my rabbit was sick I made sure she was drinking and having the paste, if she is not better soon call the vets. Best of luck with your rabbit and don't listen to people who say that your rabbit cant live through this. Make sure you leave her plenty of hay.

How long will it take for roaches in a suitcase to suffocate to death if I put 10 garbage bags over it?

My suitcase has a a roach problem, but I have important stuff in there that I don't want to spray poisonous chemicals in. Can't stay asleep, work the graveyard shift.?

I work the graveyard shift as a correctional officer. I average a 13 hour day with 1 1/2 hours drive each way. By the time I get home it is after 7am. I go straight to bed but wake up at 11:30 every day. I need to wake up at 2:30pm and when I wake up I stay awake for about 30 min to an hour. I keep waking up about every 30 min until 2:30 pm. I don't want to take any medication for fear of not waking up on time. On my first day off I still only sleep until 11:30 am and find myself falling asleep during the day if I sit down and do something quiet (like read or watch a movie) I don't fall asleep while driving or anything remotely active. I also cannot be groggy or take a nap at work. Any tips or advice would be helpful.

How to calm my dog's anxiety of loud noises?

I have a 3 and a half years old golden retriever. She is terrified of any loud noises such as thunder, lawn mowers, garbage trucks coming down the street, or airplanes and jets flying over our house. When she hears these loud noises, she starts shaking really bad and whimpers a little bit. She weighs 60 pounds so you can't hold her. I bought a ThunderShirt which helps with her separation anxiety, but not with her anxiety of loud noises. Her vet gave me some medicine for her to take that calms her down, like it makes her sleep; it makes her in a groggy, drowsy, drunk state so she doesn't care about the noises. But, her vet advised me that her taking this medicine all the time is not good for her health, and I don't like to give the medicine to her either because it makes changes in her behavior. I've also tried to drown the noises out with music, but that doesn't work either. So, does anyone have any drug-free solutions to calming my dog down when she hears these loud noises?

How do I know when I'm done sleeping?

Most of the time, I use an alarm clock to wake up every morning. There are no problems there because I simply KNOW that I have to get up at that time. But on the weekends, it's a different story. Take this morning for example. I woke up at around 6:30 to use the bathroom, but still felt tired so I went back to sleep. I woke up again at 8:15, and still felt tired so I went back to sleep. Then again, I woke up at 10:30 still felt groggy but I basically told myself to get up because I didn't want to sleep the day away. I notice on weekends when I have no definite wake up time, I will wake up every hour or so but still feel tired enough to fall back asleep. When I was younger, I remember on weekends waking up and feeling alert. That's how I knew to get up. Now that I'm in my late teens I feel like I don't have something in my body telling me when I'm alert. I sometimes think if I wanted to I could just keep going back to sleep. How do I get the feeling of alertness back so that I know when I have slept enough and I should wake up?

Why have I been so tired last few months?

I've been going to doctors off and on over last several months. I've done blood work and no one can explain why Im so tired. I've done pregnancy tests thinking I am pregnant but that was negative also. I do work long shifts anywhere from 11-12 hours a day. I get home from work and want to just lay down. I shower eat dinner and when I put my son to bed I fall asleep than too. I cant really have a social life cause Im too tired. Can I use hand shredded newspaper for my corn snakes bedding?

How to get a cat to drink after an operation?

My 8mth old female cat had an operation today to remove her baby fang teeth which hadn't fell out naturally. I think she had her operation late in the afternoon as when we picked her up at 6pm she was still very very drunk from the anesthetic. She couldn't walk without falling over and just wanted to sleep. She is a little better now, her coordination has came back but she is still very very groggy on it, I suppose that's to be expected. My concern is the anesthetic has made her be sick 5 times since we got her home and she will not even look at water never mind drink it. Why is prednisone given during an endoscopy?

I had an endoscopy yesterday and my eye was hurting when I woke. I was really groggy so I didn't really think to ask at the time. Now it is the next day and my eye hurts and the lid is all puffed up. I thought I was having an allergic reaction so I called the nurse to ask what I was given during the procedure. She said Versed, Prophynol, Lidocaine, and Prednisone. She said that none of those drugs would do that and she said if it was an allergy both eyes would swell. That doesn't sound right to me. I know the other 3 drugs were necessary but why the Prednisone? Is this usual? Also, I should note the results of the endoscopy were normal.

Hey, I'm a 14 year old boy, I'm 5'8, 120lbs, and have a 6 foot wingspan. My vertical leap is around 3ft-3ft and a half. In my last year of middle school, I missed all but 3 games due to a knee sprain and only averaged 0.0ppg 2apg and 2rpg in those two games. This summer I decided I needed more help and more exposure to competetive play since my High School is only a single A school, so I decided to join the new AAU team my hometown was putting together for the first time this year. To be honest, we suck, we have only had one tournament, and lost the first two games by 30pts or more, and won the last game by forfeit because the team we were gonna play lost 54 to 1. But anyway, in the tournament, I scored 10pts in the first game against a team called SQBA, ant then I scored 12 in my second against the "Young Ballerz" so I guess thats 11ppg, I also had 2apg and 4rpg in this tournament. So if I continue to practice my all around game, will I have any future in basketball? Like how far do you think I could get? My teamates compare me to Ray Allen because of my shooting ability, although I wasn't a three point shooter in the begining of the AAU season, just a mid-range shooter, but ever since my coach forced the three point shot on me, I went from 20% behind the line to 34%. I am also a 87% free throw shooter, but lack dribbling ability, I don't drive to the basket often, in fact, I only lay the ball in on fastbreaks, I'm not a physical player, or one of those emotional leaders that get hyped up every second, I don't block shots or steal the ball, I just play solid on ball deffense. Would I have any future in basketball at my current position of Shooting Guard and my secondary position of Point guard and Small Forward?

New Anxiety Drugs not working?

So it's my first time taking anything for anxiety. They gave me ativan and zoloft. (other brands of those anyway) I didn't want to take anything but i figured after awhile of struggling i would try some. I've been taking them for a little while and it kind of seems like half the time i'm out of it and the rest of the time i feel like i'm on ecstacy. I feel right upitty like ecstacy would make you but not natrual hppy. It feels like high happy and i don't like it because i feel like im not in the same world.the times im not like that i just feel right groggy and out of it. It doesn't help with anxiety at all. It feels like when you come off of Ecstacy and u just wanna sit an talk to someone you know all knight but then u fall asleep. i dunno, anyone else have experience with these drugs together? Ok so I'm 15, while my mom works I stay in the apartment with my 5 year old sister. The BIGGEST rule is NEVER open the door for anyone but her. It's summer so I stay up all night and sleep until like 2 or 3. I was asleep with my little sister in the bedroom (it was about 2 pm) and I woke up when I heard banging on the door. I decided to check my phone to see the time, and realized my mom couldn't possibly be off work. I was groggy and tired so I decided to go back to sleep since I figured they would go away. Next thing I hear is the door being busted open. We have the normal lock that they have access to, and a second lock that we use when I'm home alone or with my sister. They pushed on the door so hard that the door broke open, then they walked in and checked a vent for about a minute. I was up by then and, since I was half asleep, I was trying to make sense of the situation. After hearing the man say "I can't figure this out" and leaving, I started wondering if they can do that. I know they can have maintenance checks when we aren't home, but if the door is locked can they still come in? I know if it's about the time when people are awake that they might have been able to do that. I'm just a little confused here.

As long as I can remember from child hood. When I go to bed, no matter how tired, I can not fall asleep easily. Taking over the counter sleep aids do NOT help. I just lay there feeling groggy and strange. My mind is running a million miles per hour and I can't stop moving. I am extremely restless and must shake and twitch my legs as well ankles or it drives me crazy and can't fall asleep.. By the time I finally fall asleep it's morning. Husband goes to work, kid for school. And when I do finally fall asleep that morn I am out for about 10 hours. Hard to wake me. This has affected my ability to work which keeps me late getting to work no matter what. I have frequent anxiety or panic attacks because I can't let go of mistakes or just happen all of a sudden without warning. Once these start peaking I start crying and end up breaking things I own or throwing things I care about to relieve the pain. Then it gets worse because I'm upset for things I did not mean to break or ruin. This episode typically last 10 mins. I am not suicidal in the least bit. Negativity around me keeps it going longer. I know if I hide in a small place alone I can let it ride out. This seems a lot but I need advice.

Flower girl basket and ringer bearer pillow who keeps them?

The flower girl basket was lent to me by the florist and was given back to them after the ceremony, and my aunt made the pillow for the ceremony and the ring bearer's mother told me to keep it. I assume because it was made my my aunt for me to use, and what use would her son have for it? An adult does not need a memory of a wedding by having a pillow or basket, and a kid either will play with it and ruin it, or have the parent stash it away.

My dog ate and vomited ibuprofen?

I got home after work today and my dog had jumped the baby gate and consumed an unknown amount of ibuprofen from a bottle on the kitchen counter. He apparently vomited it all up judging from the pile we discovered on the floor, he has a sensitive stomach and vomits on occasion anyway, but he has continued to vomit up anything he eats and he's acting listless and groggy. I am going to take him to the vet, but I can't afford to until tomorrow morning when I get paid. Is there anything I can do in the meantime to reduce the likelihood of him dying? He hasn't had diarrhea or bloody vomit/stools, just vomiting (if he eats) and the grogginess.

Strange fungus in lawn?

I live in western Washington and at the beginning of spring I mowed my lawn and noticed these strange, white marshmallow sized fungus on my lawn. When I step on them they make a light crunching noise and later turn a mustard color with what looks like spores or something on the inside. Any ideas to what they might be? Are they poisonous for my dog or my family?

First, you seem to have an excess of bath items and you may not need all of them today. Take all your items put them in one place. Pretend you are going to take a bath and see what is essential in the bathroom. Should not be much beyond shampoo/rinse items. Since you are 14 and have young skin the need for moisturizers, creams and lotions, are much market generated needs by corporations that want to sell you stuff. Put those away for one week and see what happens. I would guarantee you that most of these are not needed. Put what you need in a basket, tote bag, etc. and you can manage easily what is needed. If you think you need more, select a few and put those in your room were you can reach them. Put the excess items away under the bed or in your closet. Are there any animes that are similar to the anime Marmalade Boy? (I love that anime, it`s my favorite!) I like animes that were created in the 90`s for some reason, like 1993 and up. They have the kind of romance that I like--simple and sweet. The main girl is just a normal girl, but the guy loves her anyway--he sees something special in her. I didnt even realise these were side effects until I just looked them up now so dont think it could be in my head. Okay so June 23rd I'm going on three planes from Nevada to Texas, Texas to Hawaii and then Hawaii to Guam to visit my dad. I'm only thirteen and although ive been on planes since I was one i'm scared, We killed Osama in March and theres the looming threat of a bombing in retaliation of it.I keep on thinking about 9/11 and that scares me, the overall time i will spend in the air is 14-19 hours, A lot can happen in 14 hours. Do I have a concussion? Do I have any reason to be concerned or go to the hospital? I'm fine enough to sit here and write this question out, I just feel off and not very good. I tend to get anxious about things, so I wanted to get someone's opinion.
