1 month ago I had a Urinary Tract infection! is it still lingering?

One month ago i got a urinary tract infection for the first time and it came on very quickly. It was so painful when i peed and i also had blood. I went to the doctor and he gave me a 3 day course.. It cleared within 24hrs from drinking loads of water but ever since my lower abdominal has never felt right/the same. I went back and he gave me a 7 day course antibiotic but i never purchased it. Ive since been back last week and he said well its probably the urinary tract infection.. Its really uncomfortable now and its making me feel really groggy.. Do you think its the infection lingering? Does anyone have any similar experiences. I was also paranoid and went for a sti check up and all was clear..... tell me this is nromal!!! :(
