Can i put a rabbit in the laundry basket ?

My dad and me are going to get my rabbit but i dont know what should i put it in, a laundry basket with a blanket at the bottom ? .PLease answer annything that you think that is safe to put the rabbit in !But except for the carriers for pets!!!!
